I recently started to grow up a start up of an e-commerce site. Its a type of market place. I want to advertise my site. Can someone please help me , How to do it and how much cost will it take?.
There are several advertising techniques including PPC, SEO, EMail Marketing etc. You can use adwords to estimate your pay per click cost. Using your target for # of clicks, you can arrive at the PPC budget.
One more relevant technique is to offer coupons or discounts and share it through coupon site like ours. If you have interest in this technique feel free to get in touch with us at our CouponRani site
@puneet Hi puneet, Actually our startup will set up a platform which can produce product based market plazas lives online.Anybody can built a shop for themselves based on products. Trust on payment, product purchase decision suport and prize comparison engine will all be incorporated within our site.
@couponrani Hi thanks for your kind information. Google adwords are cost more i think so.Someone told that Its fast burning of money. I invested all my money in growing the startup. Thats way i am limited to spend for anymore else.
Let all your friends know about your startup and explain them what they can buy or get through your website [Assuming it is a b2c business]. Reach them via sms, whatsapp, facebook message and invite them to like your facebook page. Inauguration types :)
B] Guest Blogging Contribute to the community and share your experience, learnings, ups, downs etc.
C] Online PR Hire a PR agency or if you don't want to spend the best way is to reach out online media . Ask them for a review or share with them what problem you are trying to solve or how different you are.
D] Local PR Get coverage in local newspapers [Yes it works].
E] Contests You can tie up with bloggers of your niche and plan a contest with them or else facebook contest works too.
F] Twitter Build relationship with people on twitter. It is not necessary that you should always promote your business. I would suggest building a personal brand, extend relationships and people would buy from you :)
Initially sales would come from personal contacts. So reach out to them. Use your contact list, call them, message them [ don't spam them]. Know their experience, feedback and then promote to the outer world.
